We are a 64 unit, two storey Senior Housing Complex at 3232 Apsley Street, Terrace. All our units are 2 bedroom suites contained on a single floor. The 36 large suites are about 1170 square feet in size, the 28 small suites are about 900 square feet. 6 of the large suites have ensuite bathrooms. Each suite is a fully accessible, private residence designed for two seniors over 55 who are ambulatory and in good physical and mental health. They must be able to live alone and tend to all their personal needs in a residential unit without assistance or are prepared to arrange support services sufficient to continue independent living
Twin River Estates is managed by Skeena Senior Citizens Housing Society, a Nonprofit Society, which means that to become part of the Society, a membership is purchased and a Promissory Note is issued to the purchaser. Residency is structured on the Life Lease concept. The present cost of membership is $130,000.00 for small suites and $160,000.00 for the large ones.
Operating expenses are shared by all members by the monthly maintenance fees that are assessed
each year. The monthly fee covers property taxes, maintenance and all utilities. Phone, TV and
internet are the responsibility of the member. 2025 fees are $365 per month.
In order to become a member of Skeena Senior Citizens Housing Society an application form must
be completed and then held on file until a vacancy occurs. Applications may be completed at the
Society Office the last Thursday of the month, from 2 to 4 pm.
